UB Neurosurgery is pleased to announce a collaboration with Dana Dunleavy, MD, giving our patients access to his expertise on minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures. Through this new partnership, UBNS will offer interventional radiology services including minimally invasive outpatient procedures at the Atlas Surgery Center, as well as diagnostic exams and post-procedure follow-up appointments at our world-class Comprehensive Neuroscience Center.
We will offer a wide range of interventional radiology and procedures to treat conditions related to different specialties, including:
- Neurology
- Vascular
- Orthopedics
- Oncology
- Gynecology
Treatments and procedures will be provided by Dr. Dunleavy, the medical director of Atlas Interventional Radiology. He has been recognized as a top doctor in Buffalo and distinguished as a leader in the interventional radiology field, specializing in minimally invasive procedures.
Together, UBNS and the Atlas Ambulatory Neurosurgical Surgery Center are leading the way in providing endovascular neurosurgery outside of hospitals, benefitting both patients and the healthcare system.
Through this new partnership, Dr. Dunleavy is taking a similar approach for endovascular men’s and women’s health, offering his services at the advanced UBNS Comprehensive Neuroscience Center and high-tech Atlas Surgery Center.
Dr. Dunleavy has already performed the first Uterine Fibroid Embolization at Atlas on a patient who preferred to undergo general anesthesia – an option that was not made available in the typical hospital setting.
At the interventional radiology clinic inside of the UBNS Comprehensive Neuroscience Center, patients will meet with Dr. Dunleavy for a physical evaluation to diagnose or confirm a diagnosis and discuss treatment options. Interventional radiology procedures will be performed at the Atlas Surgery Center.
