The KL2 Research Career Development Program supports state-of-the-art clinical and translational research and provides young investigators with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform high-impact research and succeed in today’s highly competitive research environment.  Dr. Davies’ grant, entitled “Development of Predictive Models for Stroke Risk,” aims to bring personalized medicine to stroke care.  His goal is to use data analytic and bioinformatics tools to better predict who will have a stroke, and amongst those who have suffered a stroke, who will likely get better.  Ultimately, better risk assessment will allow a more tailored approach to preventing and treating stroke and improve patient outcomes.
