Dr. Beck joined UBNS in August 2009 in accordance with the opening of the new UBNS integrated brain and spine facility. He received his training at New York Chiropractic College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and specialized in management of complex spinal conditions that can be effectively treated with conservative therapy. He took special interest in conservative rehabilitation of the spine as it relates to human biomechanics.

Professionally, Dr. Beck has extensive hands-on clinical experience and expertise. He has instructed and mentored at New York Chiropractic College, D’Youville Chiropractic College and University at Buffalo. Currently, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at D’Youville Chiropractic College and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Neurosurgical Department at the Jacobs School of Medicine at the University at Buffalo.

Dr. Beck is a conservative spine rehabilitation specialist focused on the detailed evaluation and treatment of spinal injuries inclusive of disc herniations, pre- and post-operative spinal care, headaches, sports-related injuries, concussion, trauma sustained via injuries at work, motor vehicle accidents and neurologic conditions that can be improved or managed by conservative therapy. Clinically, he has experience in performing manipulation under anesthesia procedures, which is an option for those struggling with painful, chronic spinal conditions.

He is licensed in New York State and is dual board certified as a Diplomate in Neurology by the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology (DIBCN) and in Electrodiagnosis by the International Board of Electrodiagnosis (DIBE).

Dr. Beck has extensive postgraduate training. He is a certified practitioner in flexion-distraction decompression, Graston Technique and has CCE (Chiropractic council on education) accreditation in performing manipulation under anesthesia procedures. He is an active participating member in New York State Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, the Rehab Council of the ACA and the North American Spine Society.

Dr. Beck is a member of Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Chiropractic Advisory Committee. The objective of the committee is to determine the best evidence-based protocols for optimal management of spinal conditions that can be managed collaboratively and conservatively. He is also on the board of directors for a non-profit organization known as Bunkers in Baghdad, an organization that provides golf equipment to troops overseas and supports domestic wounded warrior programs and local military bases. Dr. Beck has been the team chiropractor for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) since 2015.  He enjoys treating professional and amateur athletes.
